"Toxic was born after a dream. One day (the 5th of February 2014, to be precise) when I woke up I had the name Toxic in my mind, the concept and the covers and themes of the first two issues. A couple of days later, when I was trying to figure out the best way to start the magazine, I found an image online which was almost identical to the one that I had seen in my dreams (this image is featured in our first issue, not on the cover for editorial reasons, but on page 5). In the same week I found another image almost identical to the one I dreamed as the cover of the second issue. Given the fact I had never seen either of these images, I decided to take that as a sign to carry on. I was lucky enough to find immensely talented contributors. After a lot of hard work the first two issues and website are finally ready. The idea is now to push the limits."
Survival (Sobrevida)
This is a feature film shot in Brazil. The movie´s central question is: What would you do if you were the sole survival of a plane crash? The main character of the story, Mauro, goes through this experience and tries to find a meaning for his life. In this search he ends up facing the darkest aspects of his personality.

Synopsis: In a desperate attempt to keep his job, David donates his kidney to one of his bosses. His boss’ operation does not go well and David gets fired by Leo, his sadistic manager. Before David has time to digest the information, he finds out that his brother was secretly dating Leo with the intention of helping David to keep his job. In the excruciating experience that follows David finds himself entering in a trainee scheme in the same company in the hope of taking revenge on Leo.

Creative Writing
João has been giving creative writing workshops since 2007, has taught in South America and Asia, and has published dozens of articles and given consultancy to several published authors. His workshops are based on highly innovative and inspiring techniques that invites participants to visit a range of literary styles. A core aspect of the workshops are the concepts of literary tools and focus.
Publish your book
After having worked as the editor-in-chief of a publishing house and magazines (including Toxic), João developed a course aimed at helping new writers to publish their works. The course contains a detailed overview of the industry and presents the best options to get the work of each participant published.
Meta Creativity
We are all creative. Creativity is part of our nature. The only difference between so-called “creative people” and other people is that creative people immerse more easily (and often) in a creative state. They are more connected to their creativity.
One amazing thing about creativity is that it can be developed, just like memory or reasoning. It requires time and practice but it is a unique journey to the center of yourself, a rewarding experience that will enrich all aspects of your life.
The tools presented in this workshop will help the participants to reach creative states with more intensity and easiness. The tools are based on 12 years of research and can used for self-development, to increase creative output at workplace or to improve teaching in the classroom.
